![]() ![]() Also, who has a copy of ISTA lying around. I still use BMW Standard Tools however as it has proved reliable. Running in a VMWare UNIX environment from a hacked copy it's no wonder it is so unstable. ![]() I will add that after I purchased PA Soft version 1.36 in 2006 I threw out my laptop with GT1 on it as it was unstable, slow and didn't match the ease and simplicity of BMW Scanner. There's several hundred Bimmers running around the US and Canada that I've coded using it so if there is an issue best tell me. So like the other gentleman stated, please enlighten us as to why we shouldn't be using PA Soft. Certain items I find it practical to use say NCS Expert (aligning module VINS, sensor calibration - INPA) but a blanket statement like yours would mean the temp gauge buffer adjustment couldn't be done with PA Soft and much of the DME reprogramming/tuning going on with headers etc. It's actually easier to use than the BMW factory tools I have. Not sure where you get that from? i have a wide array of BMW Coding tools and haven't had any issue with PA Soft. Got a new laptop and am having blue screen crash when I try to install the Win10 driver. In response to Scottjoh's other statement: "You really should not use PA Soft for any coding". ![]()
